The working and coordination structure for urban development for the common good (AKS Gemeinwohlorientierte Stadtentwicklung) is an interface between administration, civil society and politics for urban development for the common good in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. The aim of the AKS is to support projects and spaces oriented towards the common good as well as to promote a sustainable land policy in order to secure a diverse urban society. The AKS Gemeinwohl is a platform for experimenting with and testing forms of cooperative urban development. The structure and tasks of the AKS team are flexible and are adapted to new circumstances. The AKS team focuses on coordinating cooperation between urban policy initiatives (KOOR position), real estate development and management for the common good (GI position) and the position for public relations and member communication (AKS KOMM) at the interface to the civil society association.
